Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've learned about our family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world. One of the goals of this web site is to help our family stay connected even though we live far apart.
My name is Ann Borgers. I live in the outer suburbs of Milan, Italy. I am originally from South Dakota. I have been working on my family history/genealogy on and off for about 4 years now. My dad's side of the family, Borgers, originally is from the Netherlands (Holland), my great grandfather immigrated to the U.S. in 1892 and settled down in the Alton, Iowa area.
